My role

Founded Perch, took it into an accelerator in Hong Kong, then shut it down and started Archen.

A place to focus

Perch was designed for remote professionals and commuters who needed privacy for focused work or calls in noisy public places. Soundproof pods and an on-demand app brought a quiet workspace into the places people already spent time.

Find, reserve, unlock

The experience connects discovering a nearby pod with reserving time and unlocking it on arrival.

Building the company

I founded Perch and created its brand identity alongside the product.

We built a working pod prototype and an app ready to launch. The business model combined pay-per-use access, memberships and location partnerships.

Perch made it into the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks accelerator but didn't advance past the first round. With only a little funding and nothing set up in the United States yet, I shut it down and put that energy into Archen.
