The Project
The AKA Tribeca lobby and lounge redesign called for a space that felt both intimate and elevated: a place where hotel guests could settle in, have a drink, and feel like they were somewhere genuinely special rather than generically luxurious.
Working within Jennifer Post Design's framework of refined minimalism, I led the spatial design development, material direction, furniture selections, and presentation coordination throughout the design development phase. The project required navigating a complex set of stakeholders while maintaining a singular creative vision.

Design Direction
The material palette balanced warmth and sophistication: brass detailing, onyx bar surfaces, curvaceous seating forms that invited lingering, and a carefully curated art program that gave the space personality without loudness.
The lounge was conceived as a series of distinct moments: the bar as a destination, the fireplace as an anchor, and the private alcoves as intimate counterpoints to the more social main room.
